Source: Sculpture By Timothy P. Schmalz | Homeless Jesus

Inspired by Matthew 25, this sculpture is a representation that suggests Christ is with the most marginalized in our society. The Christ figure is shrouded in a blanket, with the only indication that it is Jesus, being the visible wounds on the feet. The life-size version of the work has enough room that someone is able to sit on the bench.

This piece of art is so simplistic, yet it captures the enigma of Jesus Christ, Son of God. We love how Tim describes his work as, “being visual prayers.” We couldn’t agree more.
