Periodically, as events unfold in our church, community, or worldwide there may be times that Pastor Becky feels the need for pieces of support or instruction. We hope you find these posts informative and timely in your walk through life with God.

There are times in our lives when even a people of faith find themselves lost in the dark of suffering and grief and we wonder, “Where Is God?” Our grief and our questions shatter who we are into pieces and we feel broken; so where in this mess is the good news of God’s hope?

Did you know that even broken pieces of glass reflect the light?

We may not understand why bad things happen, but what we do know is that God is ever present with us and can work through it. For in the broken pieces of our suffering and grief, the light of God is reflected. And the more pieces that gather together, the brighter the light becomes! God himself knew the pain of suffering in giving his own Son, Jesus Christ, for us so that we may have hope eternal in His light.

I hope that you know that you are not alone if you find yourself broken in suffering or grief. As a community of faith, we join with you to share the hope of Christ’s light for you. As a community of faith, you are promised the very presence of God to hold you and draw you close.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1-2

God is your strength and your light. And if you forget it because the darkness seems too much…do not fear…we will be there to remind you.
