“The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.” (Matthew 27:52-53)

It just leads to more questions, doesn’t it. Who exactly were these saints? How many? Did they go back to their homes or walk the streets? Did they appear once or many times? How long did they live? Did they experience death a second time? This text and these questions have led to many speculations and denials.
