Being Lutheran – Worship
A foundation of faith for everything we do

The Worship and Music Committee of OSL recognizes that people are engaged in worship in different ways. In an attempt to meet the needs of our worshippers, three different styles of worship will be planned each month.

The framework will remain the same – Gather, Word, Meal (on 1st and 3rd Sundays) and Sent. What happens around that framework will look slightly different. The first and second Sundays of each month will include more formal liturgy using one of the ten liturgical settings available in the hymnal. The third Sunday will be a more woven style with a less formal spoken liturgy. The fourth Sunday will continue to feel more contemporary as our Praise Team leads us in worship. The fifth Sunday will continue to include a service of healing.

All of these styles of worship are very Lutheran and God will be present as we gather together each week to worship and praise God, support one another and grow in faith.

‘The rest of the story’ will continue in the November Newsletter.
